Welcome to the Official Website of the 4th Vocotruyen World Championships
The City of Cervia, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, will host the 4th Vocotruyen World Championships, organised by the Italian Wushu Kung Fu and Vietnamese Martial Arts Federation (FIWuK) in cooperation with the World Federation of Vietnam Vocotruyen (WFVV).
From 30 September – 4 October 2026, delegations representing from around the world will gather in Cervia for an international programme combining high-level competition, technical activities, training and cultural exchange.

This website will provide regularly updated information concerning the Championships. Delegations, athletes, coaches, referees, officials and accompanying persons are invited to consult this section regularly for the latest official updates.
World Championship Competitions
The official competitions, scheduled from 2 to 4 October 2026, will bring together athletes and martial arts schools from different countries in a wide range of traditional Vocotruyen disciplines. The programme will include traditional forms, compulsory forms (Quy Định), freestyle events and combat competitions.
The forms competitions will provide athletes and schools representing different Vocotruyen traditions with an opportunity to demonstrate their technical expertise while showcasing the extraordinary diversity and richness of Vietnam's traditional martial arts heritage. The programme will also feature full-contact combat competitions, conducted in the ring in accordance with the official international competition regulations.
1 International Referee Training
An International Referee Training and Refresher Course will be organised as part of the Championships programme. The course will provide participating referees and officials with technical instruction and updates on international competition regulations and refereeing procedures, and will conclude with a final assessment.

The Championships will also include International Grading Examinations for higher grades, together with the relevant procedures for the conversion and international recognition of grades in accordance with WFVV regulations. These activities represent an important opportunity for technical exchange and the development of common international standards within the worldwide Vocotruyen community.
Grading ExaminationsItaly 2026 — Advance Your Professional Level Internationally
On the occasion of the international Vietnam Vocotruyen community gathering in Cervia, Italy, WFVV warmly invites eligible referees, masters, coaches and practitioners to register for two important professional activities:
1. International Referee Training – Examination – Classification — 30 September – 1 October 2026, Cervia, Italy. For eligible national-level referees seeking training, examination and international classification, eligible Grade B referees seeking advancement to Grade A, and referees wishing to update their knowledge of the rules and strengthen their officiating skills.
2. WFVV Belt & Grade Promotion Examination — 3 October 2026, Cervia, Italy. For practitioners wishing to progress to a higher grade, eligible assistant instructors and coaches, and masters and martial arts professionals seeking the appropriate belt/grade promotion examination.
Classification, upgrading and recognition of results are subject to WFVV professional requirements and the results of the relevant examination and assessment. Online registration: wfvv.vn — Contact: secretary.wfvv@gmail.com.
